Score Attack is a replay game mode introduced in "Star Fox 64 3D" which both enables replay of Missions without having to beat the whole Main Game on one go and includes a high score achievement, with three ranks for earning Medals set between bronze, silver and gold akin to "Star Fox: Assault" with its difficulty level.
Gameplay
Every Mission starts out with the default supplies of smart bombs, shield gauge and laser settings; making the Main Game's strategy of continuous survival and vehicular prime condition from one Mission to the next impossible. When playing the Score Attack, Star Wolf will appear at Bolse which is likely in order to make it easier to reach Gold Medal requirements. Unlike the Main Game, Katt and Bill won't appear at any locations that they would have followed Star Fox over to, likely in order to make it easier for reaching Gold Medal requirements on Missions such as Sector Z, where if Katt would shoot down a Copperhead missile, it would therefore deny the 10 bonus Hits for it. Unlike in the Main Game, there is no need to keep the three teammates active in order to achieve a Medal.
Game Modes
The three types of gameplay styles are the regular controlled Nintendo 64 mode, Expert Mode and Nintendo 3DS mode using the gyro controls. The HIT total remains the same for every mission whatever the game mode. Levels that follow are only available after they have previously been played through in the gameplay mode, but Corneria is always available as the default level.

Trivia
- Earning the 45 Main Game medals from the N64, 3DS, and Expert modes, will unlock the alternate title screen.
- The Silver Medal requirements are the same as the regular game's mission requirements.
- The requirements for the gold medal are mostly increased in Score Attack on Expert Mode.
- Unlike the medals in the main game, where it's mandatory to keep your companions Falco, Peppy, and Slippy alive, it's no longer mandatory to keep your partners alive to get the gold medal. They can lose all their health and still win the gold medal.
- Completing Score Attack mode is more of a select and practice mode that is completely optional, unlocking absolutely nothing and giving no rewards for completing all the gold medals.
